A Tale of Fryderyk Chopin

Place and date of publication: Poznań 2010

Language version: Polish

Publisher: Wydawnictwo Ibis

A Tale of Fryderyk Chopin is a book for children presenting the most outstanding Polish composer. Young readers learn about the composer’s personality, his favorite games, where he spent his holidays and how it happened that he started to play the piano and compose his own music. Together with the adolescent Fryderyk children set off for a journey around Europe, following development of his unusual career, visiting the largest concert halls and meeting famous friends of the musician. Charming, colorful illustrations facilitate the travel into the 19th century. The book contains a CD with the most famous compositions by the Polish composer performed by masters of the piano, which perfectly complements the meeting with Fryderyk Chopin.
